Jim Bristow Cup – Masters Juniors Tournament

About Tournament

Jim Bristow Cup - Masters Juniors Tournament proudly presented by VMSA & Inform

The Masters Juniors Tournament fondly known as the Jim Bristow Cup has become one of the most unique and enjoyable events on the Victorian squash calendar. The format brings together two generations of players by pairing an experienced Masters player with an emerging Junior, creating a team dynamic that celebrates mentorship, learning and competitive spirit. It provides a rare opportunity for players of different ages and experience levels to share the court, compete together and strengthen the connections within the squash community.

Each year the event welcomes new junior players partnering with experienced Masters competitors, creating fresh teams and exciting matchups throughout the day. Clubs from across Victoria and interstate regions travel to take part, contributing to the vibrant atmosphere that has made this tournament a favourite on the annual calendar.

The tournament has proudly supported the development of junior players over the years, with generous long‑time supporters providing sponsorship such as squash rackets, equipment, and cash prizes to assist with training and competition.

The event also recognises emerging talent through annual awards that encourage future success in representing Australia.
